The country needs to save €90 billion - and President Nicolas Sarkozy is planning to raise taxes and freeze spending to bring the budget in line.France is focusing its cost-saving measures on social welfare expenditures. But citizens are worried about drastic cuts. Our reporter Grit Hofmann visits Flers, a small town in Normandy, and spoke with residents about France's headaches and hardships.

We Have a problem America and that is debt says Glenn Beck ...people are not paying off their debt they are defaulting on them , mortgages credit cards debts and so on and so forth...Are we going to spend our way out of this recession or save our way out of it ???....Our real debt is 107 trillion , we are owned by China , China is now our boss and can destroy our economy the minutes she decides to increase the interest on the debt we owe her ...there is no way we can pay that debt ...the debt is unsustainable ...
