It seems the US assumes that by giving money to the financial industry or the defense department money will trickle down to the poor. However, as we have seen in Wisconsin, millions of Americans remain left out in the cold during this financial crisis. The military option against Libya's Gaddafi

Fighter jets, aircraft carriers in the Mediterranean, a no-fly zone over Libya and arming the rebels are all options being weighed up by the United States and its allies in the European Union, as a defiant Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi is continuing to cling onto power and is ordering airstrikes on towns and arms depots.
There appear to be two main options - both would have to be blessed by the United Nations - or NATO.

Bernie Madoff : USA is a Ponzi scheme

For most of the United States, Bernie Madoff is a monster for his involvement of swindling and cheating people and charities out millions of dollars. Recently, he made statements from his jail cell even calling the whole government a Ponzi scheme. Economist Max Fraad Wolff says I think it suggests that if you do well enough in the financial industry, people have a tendency not to ask questions until it is too late.
