June 16, 2010 — Afghanistan produces twice as much heroin as the entire world produced 10 years ago. Consumption of opiates in the EU topped all last year, and drugs kill 10 thousand people in Europe annually. Today Wayne Madsen is talking about the significant increase of drug production in Afghanistan after the coalition forces gained control over the country.

Greece debt problems damage tourism
Greece is a popular summer destination for tourists. But the country's highly publicised debt problems and violent demonstrations against government spending cuts have made many potential visitors rethink holidaying in the Mediterranean nation. And now Greek workers have walked out in protest at government plans to cut compensation for workers who've been fired.
