Revolution in Kyrgyzstan?

U.S. air base panic amid Kyrgyz violence

Officials in the U.S. are keeping a close eye on the situation in Kyrgyzstan, mostly because the country is home to a pivotal US air base for transporting equipment and troops going to and from Afghanistan. Erica Marat says that President Bakiyev is not interested in Democracy and that is a main reason for the violence that has flared up in Kyrgyzstan.
As anti-government protests, violent clashes and unrest take over the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan, concerns in the International community are rising over what will happen next. This is very important for the White House to keep an eye on because the US has military bases in Kyrgyzstan, the only US military base in Central Asia.
The first reports out of Kyrgyzstan were that the rise in utilities prices sparked the protests and violence but obviously there has been tension for a while now. Alisher Khamidov says that Kyrgyzstan has not had any clear structure; however the protesting factions are the first signs of structure or perhaps civil war.
