May 19, 2010 — A new law in Arizona targeting illegal immigrants has given police broad powers to stop anyone they suspect of being in the state illegally and detain them if they cannot prove their immigration status.
The introduction of the law has angered activists in Mexico say the law is discriminatory. In response they are trying to organize a boycott of Arizona.
Al Jazeera's Franc Contreras reports from Mexico City.

ReplyDeleteCome on buddy, that is not how the law is drafted. According to the law, an officer is he himself, breaking the law if he stops someone for nothing other than "they look illegal". A person HAS TO have been pulled over on unrelated offenses, i.e speeding, drug dealing, hmm..KIDNAPPING ect.
Maybe the wording was not intentional, maybe it was. Anyway, I still love this site, and appreciate your efforts.
