Anti-Government Outrage Grows In Greece

May 16, 2010 — the Global Report — May 16, 2010 — Greek citizens held a silent sit-in protest outside the parliament building in Athens this past weekend over the governments austerity plan, which foresees cuts to public spending and tax increases. The protesters were also demonstrating against the governments decision to resort to the European Union and International Monetary Fund for a financial rescue plan.
