Greek Swaps Probe Puts Goldman Sachs Under Spotlight: JP Morgan office bombed
Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's David Tweed reports on the controversy surrounding a currency swap arranged by Goldman Sachs Group Inc. that allowed Greece to conceal the size of its budget deficit. European Union regulators this week ordered Greece to disclose details of currency swaps in 2002 after an inquiry by the country's Finance Ministry uncovered a series of agreements with banks that it may have used to hide mounting debts.
